sasha senderovichSasha Senderovich received his Ph.D. from the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University in November 2010. He was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for the Humanities at Tufts University (2010-2012) and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Russian and East European Studies at Lafayette College (2012). He is currently at work on his first book project, The Red Promised Land: Jewish Mobility in Russian and Soviet Culture, and has published articles on Russian Jewish literature and culture. His other research interests include literature and culture in Soviet and post-Soviet periods; Soviet and contemporary Russian Cinema; Jewish literature and culture; cultural mobility; problems of historical memory; emigration and exile; Comparative Literature; monuments and public memory.
