Objectives

The Holocaust Resource Center focuses on the following objectives:

  1. Provide education about and exposure to the Holocaust for public and parochial schools
  2. Raise community consciousness about the Holocaust, racism and genocide through public programs. 
  3. Utilize new technologies to facilitate teaching about the Holocaust. 
  4. Provide incentives for teachers such as fellowships, subsidized trips and workshops, awards, etc.
  5. Utilize the lessons of the Holocaust to facilitate discussions about racism, tolerance and prejudice, i. e. Black-Jewish relations.
