Positions AvailableVisiting Scholar in Jewish StudiesThe Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, invites applications for the following position during 2008 – 2009 academic year. The Aresty Visiting Scholar is a one-year appointment that provides a stipend of $30,000 and health benefits. Academic rank and field of expertise are open. Ph.D. is required at time of application. The scholar is expected to teach two courses (one per semester). Courses will be taught in the Department of Jewish Studies, with crosslisting in another department when possible. Visiting scholars will be expected to be in residence in the university area and participate actively in faculty seminars and the activities of the Bildner Center.
